Privacy and personal data protection guidelines

Personal agreement

The company Data Respons GmbH has committed itself to comply with the Federal German Privacy Law regulations and to protect individual privacy while handling personal data provided by customers or prospective buyers. In due deference to the importance we attach to the careful handling of personal data, we have compiled these online privacy guidelines as part of our company privacy program.

Accordingly, you may decide for yourself whether or not you would like to provide us with your personal data. The notes we compiled for you when you register your data are supposed to help you in your decision. We may also point out that, with exception of Newsletter subscriptions, a large part of the Data Respons GmbH online offers can also be acquired without specifying any personal data.

Personal data

In the last resort, personal data concern information about your identity. This refers to specifics such as name, address, telephone number, email address, etc. It is not at all necessary to disclose your personal data in order to use our website. In certain cases, however, we need your name and address to process requested services.

The same applies, for example, to sending information material and ordered goods or responding to individual queries. Wherever this is necessary, we call this to your attention. Beyond this, however, we only save and process data that is made available to us voluntarily or automatically.

Whenever you request services, we normally only record the data necessary to provide the respective services. Should we ask for additional data, this only accepted on a voluntary basis. The processing of personal data is performed exclusively to accomplish the requested service and to protect our own entitled business interests. Persons under the age of 18 should not transfer any personal data to us without approval from their parents or legal guardians.

Assigned purpose of personal data

The recorded personal data you entrust us with is normally used to answer your queries, process your orders or to provide you with specified information or special offers. To keep up customer relations we ourselves or perhaps a third party authorized by us might also be required to use this personal data to inform you of product and service offers that could be of value to your business; or we utilize it to implement online surveys aimed at improving our performance and customer relations.

Naturally, we also respect your decision not to provide any personal data to support customer relations (especially required for direct marketing or market research purposes). We certainly will not sell or market your personal data to third parties or otherwise.

Restricted use

We only record, process, and use the personal data you offer us for the purposes explicitly indicated. We do not pass on personal data to third parties without your express permission.

The recording of personal data and passing it on to government agencies entitled to it is only performed within the bounds of pertinent legislation, or respectively, if we are enjoined to do so by rule of court. Our employees and commissioned service agencies have been pledged to confidentiality and compliance with German Federal Privacy Law regulations.

The following data among others is saved for organizational and technical reasons when using our Internet pages: the names of the called pages, the browser and operating system used, the date and time of access, the search engines used, as well as the names of downloaded documents and their IP addresses.

We evaluate this technical data anonymously and only for statistical purposes in order to be able to optimize our Internet presence and to continuously enhance the presentation of our online offers. This anonymous data is kept separated from the personal data, saved in protected data systems, and cannot be traced to individual persons. Your personal data and privacy are thus protected at all times.

Data protection

We have taken all the necessary technical and organizational precautions to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and third-party data processing agents have been pledged to the German Federal Privacy Protection regulations and the confidential handling of personal data.

When recording or processing personal data, the information is transferred in an encrypted form to prevent third-party data misuse. Our precautionary measures are upgraded continuously according to best practices.
