Data Logger / Event Logger with Digital I/O (Input/Output)

Digital I/O (Input/Output)- Data Logger / Event Logger

ipEther232.IO is a Data Logger / Event Logger with digital I/O's (Input/Output) enabling the acquisition of digital values, e.g. process and machine data. This data can then be sent automatically to a workstation via Ethernet for further processing. The data/event logger is also capable of controlling other devices via digital outputs.
The e
xtensive software included in the delivery and its exceptional versatility make this product an excellent choice with a profitable price-performance ratio.

The data/event logger has six individual channels (either 6x digital inputs or 4x digital inputs and 2x digital output ´s) and one RS232 serial interface for digital data acquisiton. The 24V digital input channels comply with the general industrial standard for automation and process controlling, and an optocoupler provides DC isolation. Relay contacts are standardly used on the digital output channels for DC isolation.

For additional convenience, the serial RS232 interface also enables easy data acquisition via log printer interface  (Optionally, a parallel interface can be connected). The RS232 interface can also be used to connect additional devices with Rx/Tx via SUB D9 connectors, eg. LCDs, or bar code scanners.

The data/event logger can cache digital I/O (Input/Output) events and RS232 data, should the server/PC connection via Ethernet fail. As soon as the Ethernet connection is restored, the data/event logger transmits the buffered digital I/O (Input/Output) and RS232 data to the server or PC again.

The data/event logger features compact design, easy integration, and a wide range of applications. These include the acquisition of process and machine data, automation, building control systems, and measurement data acquisition.

Since the data/event logger is installed directly at the machines, systems or test stands, it enables cost-saving installation with short wire connections to the digital channels or RS232 interfaces. ipEther232.IO is also suitable for very large plants since any number of ipEther232.IO digital IOs (digital Input/ digital Output) can be integrated into your company network via Ethernet.

The ipEther232.IO data/event logger can be integrated easily into existing PC networks via Ethernet interface. Standard PCs and tools, such as Excel, Access, SQL, or OPC can be used for further processing of transmitted data.

There is a wide range of software available on the market. Whatever you wish to accomplish - from simple visualization tasks to complex monitoring systems such as FAMOUS - ipEther232.IO provides you with all the options you need for monitoring and process analysis.
