Time Server (NTP) - Software
NTPTime
NTPTime is easy and free.
More information can be found under this link: http://www.tu-braunschweig.de/it/services/sys/ntp/clients
Installation under Windows systems:
- Create a temp directory (z.B. C:\temp\ntp\bin).
- Copy(.../public/ntp_win/)ntp41bin.zip to C:\temp\ntp\bin and extract it
- From the bin-Directory, copy ntptime.cpl to the SysRoot-Directory (e.g.
C:\winnt\system32).If you have done the last steps right, you will see a new
NTP icon in the control panel that looks like this sign here: .
On thecontrol panel is this icon to controll the NTP Settings.
- Copy ntptime.exe to C:\Programm\NTP from bin directory.
- In the control panel, start the NTP-Controller and make your individual
settings like Timeserver-Address, logfile directory or how often the device
should be synchronized.
- Open a Command Shell and type the following commands:
C:\Programme\
Change to the directory where the file ntptime.exe is.
.\ntptime –install
implement the ntptime as Windows service
net start ntptime
start the ntptime-service
The logfiles will create on your chosen folder. You can control the logfiles with Notepad.

Network Time Server - ipNTP with the tool NTPTime
If only the time server is indicated, NTPTime synchronizes at every time with starting of the
computer and finishes the service after this. If the PC should often synchronize, you must set up your PC. For further configurations, please read the detailed manual.

In Internet there is whole series of more or less comprehensive implementation of the Network Time Protocol (NTP): A simple freely avaliable NTP client which is now a new version 4.1 should run both under Windows NT or Windows 2000 and Windows XP can be found under this link
