 ipEther232.PPP - the PPP Gateway

The PPP / Ethernet Converter ipEther232.PPP enables the transmission of network packets via serial interface to and from the Ethernet (PPP = Point to Point Protocol).


"Being networked" has become a global standard. Since most devices are already equipped with an RS232 interface, the PPP Converter offers a cost-effective and quick solution for exchanging TCP/IP frames with the network via serial interface. By using a PPP Converter you can upgrade your equipment and thus save its value for futher system generations.

Application

ipEther232.PPP allows you to connect all TCP/IP devices with only an RS232 interface to the Ethernet network, to the Internet, or your company Intranet. The PPP Gateway is an operating system-independent solution which is compatible with existing PPP applications. Several services such as ftp, telnet, www, ssh, rsh, rcp, etc. can be started simultaneously through this transparent network connection. An upgrade with the PPP Converter may significantly enhance the value of your product, and help you to prepare your system for the future.
