Many devices need a modem (e.g. dial-up modem) which enables the communication to its "partner" via RS232 interface through a connected phone line. This could be very expensive especially for longer line holding times and distances.
The ipEther232.Modem (Fig. 1) provides the connection for all such devices to an ethernet network over TCP/IP. Thus, the ipEther232.Modem can also be connected to the Internet or Intranet. The devices can be communicate with several work stations independent on the location.
The ipEther232.Modem is an operating system independent solution and is compatible with existing modem applications.
Scope of supply:
• ipEther232.Modem OEM
• configuration software, driver for windows (NT, 2000, XP)
• Manual on CD
