Resolving an application hang-up

Creating a new dot.NET project

This short guideed tour will illustrate the basic steps to start profiling and tracing an application. The PaintingTest program will be used as an example for the tour. The example is provided to demonstrate how to use of the profiler to find deadlocks within an application. First, launch SpeedTrace Pro and select File | Add Project | New Generic Project to prepare the project that will execute PaintingTest.exe. These are the first steps to create the project to be profiled.
